This project was a complete roof replacement across three primary schools for Cambridge County Council, valued at £970K.
Works included full roof strip and replacement with scaffolding, decking, insulation, vapor barriers, and roof lights. The key challenge was an extremely tight timeframe—weekend working and meticulous planning ensured schools operated normally throughout construction, while our comprehensive health and safety management plan safeguarded pupils and the public.
Colonial invested significant time identifying the most cost-effective roofing system and successfully value-engineered the specifications. This delivered improved building performance through enhanced roof drainage design, plus substantial cost savings for the client without compromising quality.
