Complex Specialist Education Refurbishment Delivered On Time
A £5 million refurbishment of The Gateway School in Northamptonshire for West Northants Council, creating specialised learning facilities for 11- 18 year olds with social, mental, and emotional needs. Works included a complete renovation of main building and swimming/sports centre including roof works, internal remodelling, full M&E installations, new kitchens and specialist teaching spaces, pool upgrades, and external landscaping.
Strategic Project Management Under Tight Constraints
Colonials' expert project management ensured this complex project with short timescales and very limited budget was delivered on time in fu, plus a revised M&E installation achieved cost savings. Our detailed planning ensured accurate pricing and programming plus effective risk identification and management which allowed us to work simultaneously on the main school and pool buildings. We maintained budget and schedule despite delivering over 100 variations within original programme.
Modernising Specialist Educational and Sports Facilities
The project included the refurbishment of the swimming and sports centre, comprehensive internal remodelling, technical upgrades to the swimming pool, and new mechanical and electrical installations throughout. Works also incorporated replacement sanitaryware and showers, new IPS panels and bio-cladding, alongside the full renewal of all flat roof areas.
